More About Patrick
The greatest honor I will ever have in my life is being Patrick’s Mom. He was an incredible young man who always made me proud. I treasure the gift of having him as my son every day. He is remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile and showing the most genuine unconditional love to all who knew him. The impact he had on my life and so many others is immeasurable. Through all the memorable moments we’ve shared, he will continue to live on in our hearts forever! I love you most

Pat’s the definition of a “Momma’s Boy”. Usually when someone says their mom is their best friend they don’t really mean it. Patrick did. As a kid he always traveled heavy; bringing enough toys and games with him to entertain a crowd. He had every single Happy Meal toy you could ever imagine, thanks to Aunt Char traveling cross town lines to find them all. He had the most packed snack closet in town and was the inventor of the Ketchup Sandwich, yes it is exactly what you think it is. Has anyone else’s family always had a side of chicken nuggets on every holiday without the presence of someone under the age of five? Our family did. Our family also had the most genuine, kind- hearted goofball who said one hell of a “grace”.

Pat Romano was one of those people you only come by once in a lifetime. The type of person to always have a smile on his face, to always make every situation better, and to never fail to make others feel important. Pat’s energy was radiating and addicting to be around, making it impossible to be in a bad mood around him. I never stopped laughing when I was around Pat, from the second I met him to the last day I was with him. Pat was an uplifting, generous, and incredible young man and it was my honor to be able to call him my friend. He will be missed, loved, and remembered forever.

There are not enough words to reflect on who Patrick Romano was and how dearly he is missed by me and many others. Pat was the most kind hearted, friendly, lovable person I have ever met in my life who took everyone under his wing. Patrick was always wanting the best for others. Pat was a constant ray of sunshine to everyone he encountered in his life. Pat was one of those kids that would light up any room that he walked into and always put a smile on everyone’s face. Pat's love for others, life and especially his mother was absolutely undeniable. He was truly a ‘beauty’ as he would say and will continue to be missed by so many people. I will forever be grateful for the time I had on earth with Pat and for everything he has ever done for me. We love you Rome and will never stop missing you.

Having the opportunity to call Pat my best friend is something I will forever be thankful for. No matter how bad the days got, you could always count on Pat to turn that bad day around. His infectious smile and unmatched energy brightened every room he entered and made him the life of every party. Pat treated every single person as his own and would always go out of his way to make sure everyone around him was okay. He truly was the most genuine and kind-hearted person this world has ever seen. This foundation will forever carry-on Pat's legacy, continuing to spread the love and generosity that Pat showed every person who came into his life. Brothers for life, I love you Rome

Rome was the kind of person you looked for in a crowd. He had an infectious smile that could change anyone’s mood. He was always the person I looked forward to seeing the most and I knew I could count on him always. Pat will not only be remembered for his kind heart but for the way he made people feel around him. Pat had a way about him that made everyone feel like they were his best friend. He was the most genuine person I have ever come across in my life and I am so unbelievably thankful for having the opportunity of knowing him. To know him was to love him. I hope this foundation allows Patrick’s memory and legacy to live on and reminds us all of what a caring loving person he was.

Patrick Romano and I first crossed paths in elementary school. He and I hadn’t become close friends until our senior year of high school and in those short 7 years of friendship, he affected my life exponentially. My father told me to be appreciative of the times we spent together and the memories we shared. He said people like Pat only come around a few times in a lifetime. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to spend so many hours with Rome. His smile lit up the room, his loyalty shines through closed doors and he was one of the toughest dudes I’ve ever met. A lot of people know of Patrick, but not everyone got the privilege of knowing his special character. He never judged anyone. He accepted everyone. No matter what you looked like, what you were doing, or where you were going, he simply saw you as a human being. He could start a conversation with anyone and get them laughing with ease.

If I had to explain Pat in a few short words you could use Funny , Loyal , Kind and many more. Patrick was always someone who would be a shoulder to cry on when you needed it or even if you just needed to talk to he was always there no matter what . Over the last 10 years I’ve been able to call him not only a best friend but a brother . To conclude I will end this with a quote to describe the type of person Pat was
"Man in the morning , Man at night "
- Joe Ludolph
It’s hard to describe Pat without making it sound like you’re exaggerating how great he was. Pat was the ideal friend. He was blindly loyal, genuinely loving, and the true “life of the party.” As for those he didn’t know personally, he always made others feel important and included. He had the ability to light up a room and change people’s mood unlike any other person I have encountered. His warm presence is unmatched and deeply missed. Suffice to say he was a once in a lifetime type of person. I can presumably speak for all of Pat’s friends and loved ones when I say, it was an honor to have experienced such a special person.
